Wolseley Hornet

1931 Wolseley Hornet Tourer. The property of our own mechanic being 1st registered Jan 1932. Bodied by Eustace Watkins with an 1479 cc engine. During the period mid 1931 until our mechanic bought it, it had only one owner. It was his daily car until (he thinks) 1962 when it was laid up and all but forgotten. He bought it 17 years ago after rescuing it from its collapsed garage. It was given a "body off" restoration including the engine being stripped and rebuilt and much more besides. Most notably its original "Eustace Watkins" body was completely dismantled and all the wood was checked and replaced as necessary. The rebuilt frame then re skinned with aluminium. Painted and trimmed by local craftsmen and eligible for VSCC events.
