1931 Wolseley Hornet Tourer. The property of our own mechanic being 1st registered Jan 1932. Bodied by Eustace Watkins with an 1479 cc engine. During the period mid 1931 until our mechanic bought it, it had only one owner. It was his daily car until (he thinks) 1962 when it was laid up and all but forgotten. He bought it 17 years ago after rescuing it from its collapsed garage. It was given a "body off" restoration including the engine being stripped and rebuilt and much more besides. Most notably its original "Eustace Watkins" body was completely dismantled and all the wood was checked and replaced as necessary. The rebuilt frame then re skinned with aluminium. Painted and trimmed by local craftsmen and eligible for VSCC events.

A REAL LITTLE GEM 1939 STUDEBAKER CHAMPION COUPE MODEL G The Champion range of 1939 probably saved Studebaker from bankruptcy! When the Champion was introduced in mid-1939, it proudly wore Studebaker badges and was marketed right alongside the big senior models. It was a real Studebaker, and with pricing that began at just $660, the Champion gave a big boost to Studebaker sales, pushing the company into the top 10 in production volume for the first time in nearly a decade, which had been the plan of Financial whizzes Paul G. Hoffman and Harold S. Vance to put the company back on track. The car was styled by industrial designer Raymond Loewy (who created the famous Coke bottle shape) produced in the USA they were the style leaders of their time. It was somewhat small, but very roomy light and had great fuel consumption. Interesting technical features were the Planar independent front suspension and variable-ratio steering. This fixed head coupe was exported new to Portugal and was restored there some years ago so has spent most of its life in a dry climate. The body appears never to have been welded. Presented in period era Beige, this car is in truly magnificent condition outside, inside, underneath, no rust whatsoever anywhere, drives superbly and is as sweet as a nut you can't even hear the engine run.2.5 Litre Flathead Straight Six. Three-Speed manual transmission. Left hand drive. Original Beige wool seats. Original Beige wool headlining. Coconut floor covering. Instrument Cluster & Dash all original and working- MPH speedometer. Art deco style clock on passenger glove box. Clutch down start. 6 volt system.2 rear single folding seats facing each other. Whitewall tyres. Original tools. Although MOT exempt it has a current one with no advisory's.
